Message is right but the messenger can be totally fake. Like the dhongi baba is wrong in PK but religion is not.

agreed...my response was based on the supporters being called out not Deepika.

Ohh...thanks for clearing.

Celebrities have a responsibility and should be held accountable for their actions.

Emma Watson's He for She campaign > Deepika's stand.

for christ sake people, Celebs are sometimes looked upon by lots of people. Deepika, you could've very well made a campaign against media, but nah. you're just an asslicker.

Not surprised that Kjo took the lead.
As for Kapil, wasn't he adamant that he wouldn't allow Sunny Leone on his show, because of moral issues?
But it's ok for him to be a sleazebag?

@ Hawapot...lol the new word INTENT...and if we have to go be a benign INTENT then every single act of vulgarity in either movies or a reality show or a stage show have to be overlooked because at the end of the day the INTENT is not malicious ...its just for entertainment...right?? where does one draw the line then??

Consent my foot!

This was outright cheap.

So much for her taking a stand and all!

Eve teasers should ask on roads then, Can we whistle at you? Can we grope you?
And if woman consents then go ahead! 🤪

Consent! 🤡

This so called popular dance step is cheap. And woman laughing through this act is an even worse message.

KJo is a drama queen...they must be thinking that it will look funny. Maybe it did, because the response on twitter about this pic is not negative. They posted about it in a 'funny' way.
Logic: Anything for humor! And specially if its some big event. And now Kapil is very popular..so its not crass. 😆

Can't understand the concept of Intent...It is like vulgarities in movies is justified but a creep's joke (KRK) is not because he is a cheapo...so?? Same thing is done by both.
People will start doing anything now and they will justify it by saying that it was not his/her intent. 😕
Honestly, I don't expect any lines of moral in bollywood...but at least don't fake it for your movie promotions...because these things are serious.

Exactly.
This kind of sleaze in the guise of entertainment sends across the wrong message to people about boundaries.

In one word, yes!!! The cleavage picture was taken for the sole purpose of taking a picture of her cleavage, and without her consent.

Do I like what I see in that picture on stage? No. I think there is something inherently disgusting with lifting up a girl's skirt, and passing it on as entertainment only amplifies the disgust factor. I don't know whether Deepika or anyone else on stage knew this was coming. But if they did, or if she did then yes I am disappointed. But this in no way negates her stand in the cleavage controversy. This doesn't mean going forward people like KRK have a right to disrespect her and make vulgar comments about her body.

We need to snap out of this mentality that respect is only due to those women who live up to our own standards of what a decent woman should do, wear, or what kind of social or entertainment function she should or shouldn't attend.
