Meena Kumari, Madhubala both had sad end and died young. The former almost pushed herself to death with all smoking and drinking.
I read that yesteryear actor Bharat Bhushan also lost all his wealth and died in penury. He was so poor that they had no money to even buy wood for his funeral pyre. It was after cases like these that actors started looking for ways to secure wealth and look for other sources of income.
The yesteryears vamp Lalitha Pawar also died alone and was lying dead in her room for many days till the smell emanating from the room led people to discover that she had been dead.
