Obama mentioned Shahrukh also...and the dialogue too..BOTH..

Yes ...u are right...no one here thinks that Obama really knows Shahrukh...but I love the fact that SRK was the one chosen to represent BW😛

Well I stand corrected then and yes SRK Is the face of Bollywood globally, a no brainer choice if Obama did have to mention someone.

I'm gonna differ and say Obama does stand a huge change of knowing who SRK is.

Apart from Hollywood, Bollywood is the only movie industry that has managed to make a large impact and be well-known. Our celebrities definitely have made their place in the visible scheme of things. And SRK, most definitely, is the poster boy for a large section of the foreign audience. It's not a huge shot for Obama to be aware of who SRK is.

SRK has made international headlines many a times for a number of reasons. He's been named in many prestigious international magazines and newspapers. (I remember Temptations concert made it to the front 'Entertainment' page of NYT, SRK was the cover of LA Times, The Guardian) Most recently, all the news about the second richest actor. It was reported everywhere. Even DDLJ's 1000 weeks made foreign headlines. And so many other reasons.

I am sure most of HW stars know him because of this...because I don't think the HW actors would not know who the richest amongst them are...Pres. Obama ...i am not so sure...so i will still go by...that he didn't know Shahrukh...but of course now he does😆
