well...I was one of those who supported the ISSUE...I would have supported it..even if it was anyone...and even when the members were crying PR PR at that time...all I said was that even if it was her PR who cares...that issue she raised was more important than Deepika...it was about the rights of a person...that is it...tomorrow if someone else comes up with it ...I will support that too...even if its clear that its PR generated...sometimes ISSUES are more important than the gender...or who is raising it or their agenda behind raising it...simple..

No...TOI is still a trashy tabloid...it may be powerful...but being powerful doesn't necessarily encompass class and integrity...

Good! I'm sure #KeepStandingAgainstTOI won't be trending at all but someone needs to keep flying that flag while the rest of us debate if one can pretend to retain class and integrity while being in bed with the powerful, trashy tabloid.

@blueice: I had a different opinion about the issue raised altogether. It is hard for me to find Deepika and her "cause" credible anymore. It's like a battered woman going back to her abusive husband AFTER raising her voice against the crime. What message should I get out from the tits controversy? That at the end of the day, the big, bad guy always wins? Well, that's comforting 😆

How is the ISSUE she raised not credible to you...her going back to TOI...if at all she did...is really disappointing...but how does that make the issue of RIGHTS incredible?? For example if tomorrow the issue of DEPRESSION that she is raising now turns out to be a PR tactic as well...how will that make the DEPRESSION as an issue any less credible...it will be still there ...right...the point being...if anyone wants to raise an issue on credibility ...it should be Deepika's ...not the issue..

If this was indeed a PR tactic by Deepika...and TOI played along with her in such an important issue...that makes both Deepika and TOI as trashy...TOI a little more because it is their job to be truthful to the public...

This over-friendly attitude/behavior of DP's towards everyone and their dogs in BW will sure give her a longer run in the industry (since she'll remain in everyone's good books), but it'll destroy what ever credibility she has left (if any, at this point).

This is worse than Sonam giving shitty statements against DP or anyone to the media and then going back on them every few interviews down the line and saying that "oh, that's not what I meant" or "oh, I wasn't talking about him/her" BECAUSE at least what Sonam talks about is a petty and sophomoric BW "catfight"...in DP's case, it's about a legit social issue at hand that's being made into a mockery as well as being trivialized by all parties involved.

I still stand by what I wrote in the initial TOI vs DP topic a few months back - I'm glad DP called them out on their stupidity and sleazy/distasteful behavior...it's just that I wish she stood her ground. Don't even care for the timeline of how these little actions unfolded - Did they ever unfollow her? Did she ever unfollow the TOI account and started following them now? Just the fact that she's associating with TOI despite everything that went down is annoying enough (especially if the TOI person/people did not apologize or regret for their stupid tweets).
