It starred Karishma, Hrithik and Jaya Bachchan. Arguably best performance of Karishmas career and widely appreciated. But I also loved Hrithiks performance in this one. He showed immense depth and range for an actor doing his second movie. Definitely one of his best performances for me...Is it just me or anyone else also thinks same?

i loved Hrithik in this film.. had a huge crush on him then 😛
Karishma was outstanding no wonder and she was the protagonist so that lifted attention from Hrithik i guess.. but nevertheless i liked him ⭐️

Well, I didnnt become HR fan after KNPH.. I saw all the assets of a superstar in making but there was no challenging scenes in it to prove if hez good actor. So I went to see Fiza as a doubter and came out of it as fan... coz this guy acted like veteran in 2nd fiddle role that he had. Karishma was the lead of the film.
The film flopped coz ppl went to watch HR after a long wait since KNPH and "HR mania" phenomenon.. and many left the theatres after interval coz there was hardly any HR in it and it so preachy. Also the subject of Hindu-Muslim riots was too dark compared to KNPH.

I think Khalid did justice to both communities by showing its the politicians behind these riots from both sides, not public.

Karishma's performance was A-grade.. only the night club song needed to be deleted.

Watch this Mere Vatan with high volume... its amazing.

Some scenes like- HR trying to save the little girl and she dies in his hands and mob wants to kill him for that.. and he kills them in self defence.. Highly charged emotional scene.

There r many in 2nd half... till HR asks his sister to kill him b4 the cops kill him.

And the movie ends with "NEXT">>>

Well, for me the next was MK.. another power packed performance.

Yes KNPH, Fiza and Mission Kashmir. That was the time when I genuinely fell for his acting esp last two. Then he signed a string of nonsense films, but fortunately recovered. I still like him, but actingwise he hasnt been able to match this initial phase IMO. There is an occassional, Dhoom 2 where he dazzles you, or Jodha Akbar, but nothing as fantastic as the calibre he showed in these initial movies.

I agree with the both of you...I did not find anything great about HR after Fiza...Jodha Akbar, Dhoom 2...ummm...Had Aishwarya not been the main lead I dunno whether I would have liked it😕...Krish series and K3G are good as well...On topic, I loved Karishma in the movie and Hrithik was equally good⭐️

HR signed most of his intial movies including Fiza, MK, K3g, AMALL, Yaadein, MDK before KNPH was released.
The buzz was high in BW that this guy is the next big thing. How can a newcomer refuse such offers? But he became way too BIG with KNPH that no1 expected.. the scripts were changed, reshoots happened... and Hr's luck ran out with KNPH. 😆

But Since KMG.. no complaints.. hits/flops dont matter. Keep raising the bar in ALL deaprtments is what HR is all abt.

one complaint ... Now MD is already delayed.. f**k. At this rate, he may have only 10 more films b4 he retires.. what waste of such talent! grrr.
