Bipasha Basu: No films with Khans yet, but so what

Actress Bipasha Basu has spent close to 15 years in the Hindi film industry, without working with any of the top Khans - be it Shah Rukh, Aamir or Salman. But she has no regrets whatsoever.

Bipasha, whose latest movie "Alone" released Friday, told IANS, "There are so many actresses who have done films with Khans and then disappeared. So what's the point of such big films? The year I debuted (with 'Ajnabee' in 2001), 'Lagaan' released with Gracy Singh in lead. It was one of the iconic films...but I am still here," she said.

The Bengali beauty has featured in Bollywood movies like "Raaz", "Jism", "No Entry", "Dhoom 2", "Apharan", "Corporate", "Race", "Bachna Ae Haseeno", "Raaz 3" and "Creature". Having starred in multiple horror films, now she is looking at a comedy.

"I want to do a good comedy, not a slapstick comedy. People have not seen my funny side yet. I would like to do that," she said.

I get her point. But ^this comment was in poor taste. Why drag names? And of all names Gracy Singh, who was averse to showing skin and doing the conventional heroine roles which is why she couldn't go further as an actress, as opposed to Bipasha who would drop clothes at the drop of a hat.

Moreover, while Bipasha still exists, she is pretty much insignificant if you consider top actresses. She has been a non-entity ever since 2009 and it does not matter if she is in certain B grade films. Going by her logic, even Ameesha Patel can claim she is still here and has a 15 year long career. 😆

Am I the only one who thinks she's not a good actress? Granted I haven't watched all of her films, and people are generally of the opinion that she's a good actress, especially in the horror genre. But as much as I have seen of her, I haven't really found her good at all 😕

Wasn't she the one who said her career as an actress would be incomplete if she didn't work with SRK in a romantic movie ?.. 🤔 .. now that would have been one heck of an odd pairing ..😆

Bipasha Basu has done well for herself in Bollywood in spite of having no sugar daddies.

From all appearances she is an extremely hard working actress who also motivates young talent.

It goes to her credit that she has survived in the industry in spite of not getting to act opposite the Khans.

She has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood but having said that it would be good if she broke away from this 'horror image ' and tried something different.

Comedy will be a good alternative certainly.

you can say whatever you want..but Bipasha has created a niche for yourself without the help of big names..and that's something very few actresses can say in bollywood.. so respect for that ! 👍🏼
