Ajay,SRK,Amitabh are past. The audience has changed. Pick one actor today who isn't traditionally good looking and is one of the top actors?

I felt by mentioning racism in Bollywood, the author meant to say is since he isn't fair, he was offered roles like a criminal, pickpocketer, waiter and bandit. The part was more about stereotyping than him being dark skinned. Like how people in the forum said Dhanush looks like a rickshawallah during the release of Raanjhnaa.

lol...the writer doesn't have to specifically mention UGLY...its IMPLIED in the article...

Regarding top stars...the old ones are still at the top...from the new ones...I am going to say Ranveer and Arjun...they are doing pretty well...but of course it will take some time for them to reach the top.

On serious note, I haven't seen much of his work. Just going by from what little I have seen.

I think most leading men of BW in today's age are glamorous or have a image of being bindaas off screen , exuding charm and spontaneity. Nawazuddin doesn't fit that image, IMO. He is lanky, not-so good looking and If not for GoW, he wouldn't be where he is now.
I thought he was pretty good in Kick, OTT acting was the point of the character.

I wrote such a serious and emotional post. Stupid Velvet ne sab kachra kar diya, not fair. 😭 😆

I myself thought he was bad in Kick. I agree with Sharif.badmash, but I just disagree to what Queen.Exp said about him being called a good actor because of his not so good looks. 😆
Watch GoW, it's a fun movie. 😛 @Fiery

I guess that depends how we assess the article individually.😊..I don't think the writer implied that's he is ugly..

Ranveer and Arjun- They are the so called macho man the audience wants.why would there be a show of abs in Ram Leela and Gunday?...I am talking about someone who isn't what Bollywood calls a 'hero material'- 6 pack abs, height, dancing skills, fair skin, etc.

Same with GoW, he took then whole movie to a different level altogether. He was probabably not that good in Kick, doesn't mean he is called a good actor just like that. (Or because he isnt conventionally good-looking)

This post is in response to QueenExp and Fiery. Not Sharif.Badmash 😆

I never said he was overrated. Just he was mediocre in Kick.
