Aamir beats Aamir: 'PK' collections go past 'Dhoom 3', becomes the highest Bollywood grosser ever.
Aamir Khan's PK has surpassed the collections of Dhoom 3 two weeks post its release. PK has been continuously having a great run at the box office and had become the fastest Bollywood film to reach the Rs 200 crore mark.
After having a bumper run, setting new records and breaking the old ones, it seems PK is on the way to become the first ever film to reach the Rs 300 crore mark at the box office. After beating Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's previous records, Aamir this time has beat himself.
Aamir's Dhoom 3 had earned Rs 277 crore till its second Thursday and the film added around Rs 7 crore on its third Friday, taking the total to Rs 284 crore which in itself is a huge feat. With that, Aamir has also beaten his own previous record set with Dhoom 3. The Aamir Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer had a lifetime collection of Rs 283 crore and with PKcrossing D3, the Raju Hirani film is now the biggest Bollywood grosser ever.
