Ranveer learns Kalaripayattu for BAJIRAO MASTANI

Sanjay Leela Bhansali leaves no stone unturned in making his film to perfection. He is now getting his 'Bajirao' -- Ranveer Singh -- trained in one of India's oldest forms of martial arts, the Kalaripayattu.

The training is done near the set, where Ranveer comes and practices every day after the shooting of the film.

The film narrates the story of the Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao and his second wife Mastani. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra star in lead roles, with Tanvi Azmi portraying a supporting role. "Bajirao Mastani", originally casting Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai when announced in 2003, was shelved for 10 years as Bhansali went on to make "Black" (2005), "Saawariya" (2007), "Guzaarish" (2010) and "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela" (2013). Speculation remained about the resurfacing of the project, with Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgan, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif linked to it at various times.

In July 2014, it was confirmed that Bhansali had revived the project with Ranveer and Deepika playing the titular roles and Priyanka Chopra playing Bajirao's first wife Kashibai.

"Bajirao Mastani" scheduled for release on 25 December 2015.

No.From an expert called Daksha Seth who is a master in Kalaripayattu,kathak and kalari.She and her team are assigned by SLB to train RS and Deepika.


Vidyut is kickass😎.I heard he has opened a martial arts institute.

Slb is keeping the look too secretive i want to see how Slb kept look of bajirao in the film. Ranveer is not sporting a moustache in real life but Bajirao had handlebar moustache

same curiosity here .His look is not similar to the historical painting we have seen of Bajirao.He is sporting 5 o'clock shadow beard and a choti.But no moustache.

i think the story narrates the events from early bajirao to end bajirao..it's an evolving character...he will be seen in pencil-moustache and not ram rajari type of moustache for early bajirao...

now, i want you to check how his facial look will change according to the shooting schedule 😊.. If i m right, i believe the 1st schedule included early bajirao where he gets married to kashibai, now the war sequences and affair with mastani starts ...and his looks will evolve in coming days..

do note that at no point it will reach ram rajari kinda handlebar..it is short and clean
