I agree that they shudn't hav made a joke about arpita, as she isn't celeb or public figure

But deepika, alia and sonakshi weren't offended by the jokes associated with them, people who went to the show said that they were laughing and they even tweeted that they enjoyed the show.

When watching a show like this u hav to understand the concept of it, go and watch the Hollywood roast, they are ten times more insulting than the AIB knock-out. Its all about insult comedy, and hence not to be taken seriously at all.

if u look at hollywood comedics like kathy griffin and joan rivers they make scandalous jokes all the time, jokes that r very rude and offensive, but people find them funny, so its a genre of comedy which some people enjoy, others may not.

i think because it is the 1st time india has had a roast that we r sooo flabbergasted! or maybe cos that joke was in relation to a superstar's sis

insult comedy is what they call it, maybe when some more happen u all may be more used to it

roasting should be confined to the people who have signed up for it...say whatever u want about them..that's the point of a roast...but don't bring in other people and say nasty things about them

How do people here define a "celebrity" ??.. is being an actor/actress or a public figure of extreme importance mandatory to qualify oneself as a celebrity ??.. or is fame & public visibility enough to upgrade someone to a "celeb" status ?? .. i think people need to decide on this basic factor first...

How does Arpita not qualify as a "celebrity" ?.. because she isnt an actress ?. 😕.. and who is to say that a crude mock show wouldn't/shouldn't mock a "married" woman ?.. how do you feel about mocking a "married" man in a similar fashion ?.. 😕 .. well then the solution is simple, isnt it ?.. ban the show !

The joke was of course very crude & crass but going by the name of the event 'roast whatever' it shouldn't be difficult to decipher what its all about .. the celebrities consented to being roasted so i think we can take the liberty to assume that they knew what they are getting themselves into..ergo, if anybody is to be blamed for this its the participating celebrities .. the hypocrisy here undeniable, if a superstar publicly mocks his ex-girlfriend over n over , he gets all kinds of justifications presented on his behalf by his ever loyal fans but the same fans go cray when their bhai's sister (who according to them is NOT a celebrity) gets mocked in a "mock show" wherein a beforehand precaution is given its due ..

I can't believe deepika fell from ranbir to ranveer. Poor girl. At least ranbir can be sophisticated attimes, ranveer seems plain chichora

Atleast ranveer genuinely adores deepika and seems to make her happy. And that obviously matters more to her than anything else

Also many people who hav met ranveer hav such wonderful things to say about him, they say he is a nice guy who just wants to make people happy.
