It was a really good movie. If anything hurt it it's the boring second half of the film.

It will easily do 200cr IMO

LOL ..Amir Khan's star power.He gives a 26c with bollywood's best director 😆 Hence brand dhoom is bigger than Amir Khan.

All Raju Hirani movies deals with social issues .n all of them hav been BBs .whats the social satire excuse lol

There was a time when Cinema was meant for all ... why hike the ticket rate in a country where 40 % still can't have food atleast once a day! ... i have read an interview of anjali menon, a malayalam award winning film director... she was asked why she chose to direct movies ... she said that she met a poor boy/kid in tamil nadu once who was saving money , not for eating good food (or a full dinner) once in a many months , but to see a good film... she was surprised n asked the kid why would he do that , when he could have good clothes or nutritious food with the hard earned money ... the boy replied that the clothes will get old, dirty... the taste of food will fade away quickly , once the routine of poverty starts again ... but the feel a good cinema experience would give , will forever remain in his heart to cherish... n she decided to become a director ...

hope the present day directors n producers don't forget the mass/ordinary audiences like the boy n go behind multiplex n luxury n 'i-just-want-money-somehow' attitude...true audiences like the little boy will feel missed out n a time may come when he won't even care...

PS : nothing about PK , i haven't watched the film... just about the ticket price hike bit in the article

26cr is very good for such film but these trade sites over estimate everything no way it would have open big on a non holiday with limited mass appeal.. 40cr 50cr single day just bullshit the business has reached optimum it won't be easy to catch d3 for any films in the next 2 years

These trade analysis are shit!

They over-estimate everything!

26 crore is good for film that released on non-holiday, with no kamli/lovely, no hit music (all izz well was a rage), no high profile promotions (3 episodes of CNWK for example)

Unlike other films, its BO will increase and that will be PKs biggest strength!

if PK want to cross 300 cr it must slow and study no need to cross day1 and day2 WOM increase day by day let see

26cr is a good number but it underperformed in the sense that apart form trade many experts/Amir fans on this forum were predicting it to achieve 40/50cr with no ticket hike etc and break every single record just to undermine others and now they are justifying that its a good number 😆

Same way still overhyping for it to cross 300cr , it might cross it but if not then again its a good lifetime becoz blah...blah...blah .

But i agree its a good movie , more along the OMG lines and good movies shouldn't be measured with numbers but i expected it to achieve more with so many postives Script + Cast + Hirani + ticket hike etc , i am sure it will do better over the weekend/holidays period.
