This is crazy!

4:140And it has been sent down to you in the Book, that if you hear the revelations of God being rejected and mocked, then do not sit with them until they move on to a different narrative; if not, then you are like them. God will gather the hypocrites and the disbelievers in Hell all together.

^ Where does it say to jail or kill the person for so called mocking or religious sentiment hurting?

Someone played a qawali in the background that was religious, yes, and these celebs, honestly, didn't even look like they were listening to it. They were doing their own thing. They were doing rasams, joota chupayi that we all do. It was an HONEST mistake and I hate it when people try to make such a big hoopla over mazhab. Abbe, first follows he FIRST THINGS that Islam teaches you, which is respect, tolerance, and most of all, how to be good and kind to one another. But no, who cares about those things right? Let's just pick up the pitchforks and lynch the damn folks that DARE make mistakes. Because it's OUR RIGHT and OUR RESPONSIBILITY to judge who is a good muslim and who committed blasphemy.
I'm a Muslim too btw, but I also would like to emphasize that there are a lot of things Islam teaches, good things, that people just kinda overlook. Why is it, that whenever its time to punish someone, or criticize someone, people all of a sudden remember Islam? There's so much good the faith also offers, but for some reason, our people are so emotional they kinda lose the point of it. They lose the point of the faith. And suddenly it's all about pride, jazba, izzat, sentiments, emotions.

I'm also Pakistani, but I hate to think that my country has become associated with a group of crazies where if you even mistakenly do something, your life, your career, everything is over.
Someone said it right. It was a rival channel that roused everyone up by making it seem like it something blasphemous when it wasn't.

The thing is it is not just others fault. It is both sides' fault. Problem is, it is the innocents who get the blame of these crazy nuts and pay for it.

There is so much good in Quran, but almost no so called Muslim's government follow it. So the Quran is abandoned, not my words. But that will be Prophet words in Judgement's day as said in Quran ( 25:30)

i.e apostasy law, stoning for adultery, not allowing education, killing and jailing people for so called mocking, burka wearing as a mean to force women, treating others poor and unjustly to consume money etc.
These all contradict Quran's laws. There is no apostasy law to be found, no stoning is found either. Instead, it was pagans practice towards the believers as mentioned in Quran. There is no law about killing and jailing for mocking too. Education? Forget about education, it says to even verify everything you hear and follow, but today morons are not even allowed girls to get educated. There is so much emphasize on getting knowledge in Quran. Burkha? It says to to cover chest, private parts, and wear modest clothes. No where Burkha, etc are to be found. It is women's choice though if they want to wear Burkha as a mean to be modest, but I don't get why men has to force or make this Islamic law when it is not. It just says modesty in Quran.
In Saudi, I heard 70% population is under poverty while the injustice regime is raining in wealth. The workers there are like slaves. This is so much condemned in Quran to not consume money illicitly and unjustly.

That's the problem almost everywhere though like in U.S where only the top percent have most of the wealth while the rest are the ones working and paying for tax to fund these wars which go for killing innocents. Here the Christians fundamentalists are crazy. Recently one Christian guy beheaded a roommate because he accused him of practicing witch craft, and because it is against his religious, he beheaded him.

However, there was nothing in the media about it. If a Muslim did it, there were will be huge media attention. Another one recently another Christian fundamentalist punched a Muslim guy over praying, but again no media attention. There are many dying in Africa because of some christians and muslims extremists both, but it is only Muslims who get the highlight. Buddhists, an extremist sect, are attacking and killing Muslims around Sri Lanka somewhere, but there is no media attention towards it.

I agree with you on the point that it was not done on purpose by Veena Malik and her husband but I am sorry to say I have no sympathy for Shaista Wahidi who was doing this repeatedly or the owner of this channel Meer Shakeel ul Rehman who had no check and balance on religious shows. Anyhow criticizing everything related to Pakistan or to our religion doesn't make us secular!! I agree we should criticize when its going a lil over board but not everything related to religion and Paksitan is wrong!!!

Also I dont buy this thing that there are better things to worry about. There are rapes, killings and more serious crimes going on but we HAVE to start from some point. And being a muslim my religious sentiments were hurt and I was shocked to see the clips and so do most of my fellow muslims. Hence I think its completely justified where the court has taken notice of such incident so that people could become more sensitive to such issues... Moreover, discussion on these kind of sensitive topics should be avoided on such forums where trolling is the way to live.

hurt sentiments is idiocy 101. and there are so many useless Indian laws that have this rubbish too. stupid people hurt my sentiments, should we jail them all too.

on the matter of religion - I don't think someone insulting my religion makes my religion/faith smaller. say someone throws a ganesha idol on the floor - this is not the kind of person I want to associate with, but it doesn't mean I'll put them in jail

Hinduism, Islam, Christianity etc - the major world religions have been around for centuries . they don't get hurt by the actions of a few people. and as if god even cares about such nonsense. he has bigger problems to take care of.

Your religious sentiments are hurt, so Jail is justified? You do know there is no such thing as Jail or killing for it in Quran. So you either care for men-made laws later invented in islam for control and greed, or you care what God says in Quran if you actually believe it.
