At 9:42 you guys can guess where her accent comes from. Your guess is as good as mine 😆

She is only interacting with Saif in this video ...she seems to have this superior air when she looks at Govinda. 😕

During Barfi promotions, she was sidelined.. I remember PC trying to cut in her answers once and Ranbir was like, 'let her answer' (something to that effect) so maybe being the sole female lead in HE has given her wings..

Either way, why is arrogance acceptable for some, under the guise of being endearing and not ok for her, especially someone as entitled as Sonam. :S

Anyway from what I've seen, she tries hard to fit in, with the way she was all pally with Varun.. accent is a weird hybrid, probably why Saif gels with her, 'western Kajol' jo hai.

Just watched that interview with Govinda, other than Her accent, she seems normal to me. Definitely did not seem high handed or pretentious.

After watching her zoom interview, she seems normal to me too like Dex said. However, her accent is still annoying but it doesn't seem like she's putting on an accent.. I think it's just the say she talks. I find PC and Aish accent and interviews way more annoying.
It's a little weird to see an Indian woman saying she doesn't want to get married and have a child before marriage. She also said she gets bored in a relationship. Am not saying there's anything wrong with what she says..but it's just different..because I never heard an Indian actress say that. I find it hard to believe her dad was okay with this though. She's has a very Western ways about her no wonder she has a white boyfriend. Did she not grow up in India?

I did watch her Rajeev interview too..and she seemed normal there as well at least to me. I think I need to see more interviews of her to have a final say lol.

So what you say doesn't surprise me.

Uh... Highhanded behavior.. or self-respect?

An excerpt from her old interview...

How could you do the first six films without enjoying them?
I felt like an alien in the Telugu industry. It bothered me that they did not take me seriously. My father being an extremely liberal man, I found a lot of difference in the culture. I was brought up believing that I can do what a man can. But the fact that a woman can be put down in some culture is something I could not relate with. In the Telugu industry, it is customary for a woman to stand up in the presence of a director or a star. On my first film, this assistant director came to me hurriedly and said, 'Stand up. Stand up!' I said, 'Why?' And he said, 'The director is coming.' I don't agree with that and don't believe in fawning over someone irrespective of who he is, be it the President of the United States or anyone else. You need to respect that person in your mind. Standing up means nothing. It bothered me that they expected me to behave in a certain fashion. It could be construed as arrogance, but actually I am my own person. I don't like treating you differently, basis your status. There are a lot of people who hated me, but still worked with me.

Interesting, I haven't read this before.

She was removed from a high profile Tamil movie as she never turned up to the sets on time. And in the south film industry people are damn punctual unlike Bollywood. I also remember reading a story about her purposely making people wait by staying in her room, just to prove a point.
