In 90s. successful producers used to churn out a big budget flops... to claim to the losses so high and didnt have to pay taxes on their money making films.

2000s.. There was no dispute over BO numbers.

Before 90.. for entire period of BW cinema.. no1 asked any questions abt hits of flop... they just knew from the queue outside cinema halls and for how long it ran.

Cut to 2006, BOI aka Bunch of Idiots... were born. Their agenda was to bring Bachchans and Hrithik down.

Bachchans r not doin well.. so HR is the main target. Right from KNPH to BB.. Bunch of idiots have under reported Hr's films to 30% lower than actual. Thats wooping 996 Crs (adjusted for inflation)..

Now, all 20 films HR did.. he didnt have Papa Roshan.. He didnt claim his flops to be hits..

So, what happened to K3 and BB? Is Bunch of idiots the Bible or Bluff? Is Hrithik so powerful to fudge all his movies numbers to 30 % higher? If he is.. than why cant he take over Khans?

Acc. to Shahid, actors fudge the figures. really? BO is for producers- Distributors- Exhibitors.. If actors have so much power to fudge the figuers than Shahid.. U r loser.. in any which way U loser.

Now, srk is also accused of fudging figures.. and yeah, his last 2 films had him as a producer. Do u blv that?

Conclusion- All the websites r so rich.. and BOI is a begger.

please supply proof for your statements. BO was created to bring down bachchans and hrithik? what do they have against these two?

p,s. if this is all said and done to make Hrithik and bachchans look good, then im outta here.

anyway, there's always going to be discrepancy. Trade analysts, including BOI, dont contact each and every cinema hall and distributor. They do sampling of distributors/halls across India and use a multiplier...but a trade analyst's source maybe different from another analyst's. Similarly the producer may have a different source. But at the end of the day, only the producer knows the true number but there's no way of telling whether he is saying the truth or not, I guess. But I dont think the producer number can be more than 1.5x the trade number.
