Alia has done 4 films, and Parineeti has done 5 (6th hasn't even released), its a difference of 1 movie... actuall its not...by her 4th film Parineeti was heavily criticized... the amount of criticism Parineeti gets is much more substantial than the lack of flack for Alia.

One Highway as a second film carries a lot of cred. Alia is coasting on that. But that sets her apart from Pari because that was rather risky to do as a second movie. She played a South Indian and Punjabi girl. But if you want to discount that, Alia has sung. That right there puts her way ahead in terms of versatility.

HSKD's Kavya is the only role in Alia's filmography scaling 4 movies till now,where I felt a sense of repetitiveness.Other than that,Veera was very different from Shanaya and Ananya from the other two.the fact that,Alia's performances have never been monotonous or shallow helps her save some flack..Parineeti's acting in her past 2-3 movies felt bland in most parts,inspite of mouthing OTT lines in that loud voice tone of hers.Alia though needs works on her diction,her emoting, screen presence and charisma is solid.Hopefully her upcoming movies would showcase her versatility to a higher extent,,She is spoilt for movie/roles offers unlike many right now..So there is a good chance of it happening.Hope she makes the right choice in scripts,

There has been versatility in her emotions. Variety in characterization of her characters. Variety way her characters react o situation! They are different

Oh wow ... So just because she played different ethnicities that means that she's autotmaticlaly a risky actress ? 😆 it's not like she changed her accent or anything.

She could be African for all I know in these movies - that doesn't mean that her character was different and that her acting was pathbreaking. She could be Egypian in her next movie but still give the same performance she was been giving - just because her characters culture is different doesn't mean she is versatile.

Her character in 2 States and HSKD were the exact same and when I say exact same I mean the way she was acting - it had nothing to do with whether she was Punjabi or South Indian... Someone could be Punjabi or South Indian but still have the same personality.

When you see Alia acting and then Pari acting, you know something is amiss with Pari! Its not her skills but fact that Pari is becoming repetitive whereas Alia isn't. Each role of hers is fresh and seems entertaining and pleasant!
