This star had committed to attend a recent awards event. Considering that it followed the release of his latest film that fared well and he was basking in the spotlight, the actor was to be a special guest as he had reaffirmed his status at the box office. This, after being in the news more for reasons relating to his personal life for a while now.

Several A-list faces attended the red carpet gala and the organisers hoped that the actor would keep his word.

Even as the clock ticked and the star guests sashayed down the red carpet, the organisers hoped that he would make a fashionably late entry.

However, when there was no sign of him, phone calls were made to him and he assured them that he would make it.

Later, however, he changed his stance and said that he was putting his children to bed. So, till his kids did not sleep, it would be difficult for him to step out.

Needless to say, the star did not turn up, but several eyebrows were raised about the excuse he gave.
