Deepika Padukone: How can you call Katrina Kaif a showpiece?
Yogen Shah

Ms Padukone recently made a tongue-in-cheek remark about Katrina's acting ability...

Looks like Shah Rukh Khan's amazing sense of humour has rubbed off on his Happy New Year co-star Deepika Padukone. We say so coz the Happy New Yearactress was at her witty best during a media interaction few days back. When a reporter asked Dippy how do you manage to do character driven roles as well as glamorous roles in the same manner, the B-town beauty said, "What is just a glamour role?" As an example the reporter pointed out Katrina Kaif's role from Jab Tak Hain Jaan. That's when Ranveer Singh's ladylove gave a witty reply. She said, "But according to her she has worked very hard no? Then how can you call her a showpiece."

But that wasn't a snide remark on Kat coz Deepika further added, "I am just trying to say that the hard work and effort is still the same. Being a heroine is not easy, let me tell you that. It looks very glamorous and like a great life but its lot of hard work. Secondly, I don't think I can comment on other people's choice of films or other people's choice of roles. Some things may appeal to me, some things may not. So I can only speak for the films that I have done and I would like to believe that I have largely done films, even my flop films - Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Break Ke Baad andLafangey Parindey, which were character driven. People don't remember them because the film didn't do well. That's why we say the most important thing is for the film to do well. If a film does well, you remember the success and characters. So I have always selected my films like that and I try to do justice to those characters."

In the interview she was asked how do you feel not being a show piece in films then she stated can you give reference point.
Deepia really wants comparisons with others so she can show herself in better light of course the interviewer would ask about Katrina considering their equation and Deepika like always had to take a dig with "but according to her she has worked hard no?" and then after taking the dig she is like All I mean... this reminds me of her comment "I remember Katrina for Boom ups I mean Sheila Ki Jawani"

She is really bitter about Katrina and she will always hold a grudge, it's not like Kat told you to tattoo RK's name on your neck lol

This is so wrong in many way 😲. They don't remember it because those three characters are sh*t thus forgettable! People remember SRK (Mohan) as NRI that worked as PM in NASA who back to India in Swades even it is flop because It is memorable and deep. It was featured on Rediff's list of the 10 Best Bollywood Films of the decade even it is FLOP because it ain't sh*t. Rancho will hate this!!

Hahahaha xD I like Deepika but I can't find her comments about Kat genuine, she tries hard to sound genuine but her bitterness is too obvious
