Asin turning down Barfi. Apparently she was offered both Ileana's and Priyanka's roles.

Abhishek agreeing to play a supporting role in Dhoom 2 (and also in KANK). Things have never looked good for him since then.

Madhuri's comeback films. Terrible scripts/ poorly made films.

Shahid's Mausam. He struggled for ages after doing that film. Fortunately, he's had better luck with Rajkumar and Haider.

Madhuri's 2nd comeback film Dedh Ishqiya was not bad film it had very good critics rating but too slow for audience choice. at her age its hard to get the right balance film not all aged actresses are lucky like Sridevi.

Actually he received most of the praise for Kank.

As far as D2. I still don't get the flak he received. It's a decent role and he plays the straight cop.

I thought Madhuri was strictly OK in Dedh Ishqiya. Huma was better than her. But neither were able to create Vidya's charm in the film. Vidya was SUPERB in the film. Ishqiya >>>>Dedh Ishqiya.

so i have heard from reliable sources Ranveer was offered BMB by Mehra and he didn't say yes or no, instead RK n Viru both were waiting in line to be in Hirani film as Hirani made contact with both, which eventually went to Aamir. When he went back, BMB was gone to Farhan Akhtar :(.

If this is the case, doing Gunday instead of BMB in a vain hope to be in Hirani film is utter stupidity. Hope he learnt he shouldn't trust people in the industry even if it's Hirani.

After Kaminey...when Shahid was at peak of appreciation..I guess he should have chosen to work with other acclaimed directors like VB and consolidated his position...instead of going for a huge film with PK as a first time director...he invested almost 1.5 years...it was a risk which failed...

But every failure is a learning experience..in one of his latest interviews..Shahid mentioned that he learnt to see things from a director's perspective (seeing the tensions that his father went through)...that he learnt that he needs not only to ensure he did his part but that he was in sync with the entire film unit..and made sure that the unit was happy...as film making is a team effort!..
