A little sparrow just chirped this interesting piece of gossip into our ears this evening. Salman Khan's new girl from Jai Ho, Daisy Shah is apparently dating her choreographer mentor Ganesh Acharya. It is said that the alleged relationship between the two is not exactly a closed door affair and the entire dance industry has a good whiff about the same. It is also believed that Daisy's so-called closeness to Ganesh was also the reason behind his divorce.
Our sources from within the industry reveal that Daisy who was just a dancer became close to Ganesh when she started assisting him and soon they started dating each other. "Daisy was persistent on Ganesh launching her career as an actress and her Bollywood break also happened because of Ganesh who has a huge hand in the same. In fact, the house in which she stays and the car she drives have all been given to her by Ganesh himself," reveals our source.
We promptly rang up Ganesh to confirm whether he is indeed dating Daisy but the master choreographer surprised us initially, by curtly telling us that he doesn't know Daisy. Not satisfied with the answer, we probed Ganesh a bit more and he finally did a U-turn and admitted to knowing Daisy but only as a dancer. "I think she was a dancer like many others. But I am not in touch with her now."
Now that sounded baffling and more like a response of someone who was trying to skirt an issue. On checking whether there existed any animosity between him and Daisy today, which perhaps was the reason for him not being in touch with her, Ganesh replied in negative.
"Nahi yaar. Nothing like that. We are still friends but not in touch."
Still not satisfied with these evasive replies, we fired a few more questions at the choreographer. This is how it went:
But there are reports that you are dating her now?
Ganesh Acharya (GA) No yaar. As I said, I am not at all in touch.
TC So when you were in touch, have you ever dated her?
GA Oh you mean to ask was she my girlfriend?
TC Yes, was she your girlfriend ever?
GA Yeh sab puraani baatein hain (This is old news)
TC So are you admitting that she was your girlfriend?
GA Aisa hi kuch bol sakte hain (You can say that) but I am not in touch with her for the past two years.
Well, all we can say is there is no smoke without any fire.
