Considering the screens I must say Haider is doing well
65% occupancy is not so bad for off-beat cinema and that too whn it is clashing wid commercial film like bang bang
I m gonna watch haider and hope it does well😳

65-70 % opening in the morning is quite good considering the genre of the movie. After that it's all wom. Hope it does well.

Haider Box Office Opening Report - Good Start on First Day

Shahid Kapoor - Shraddha Kapoor's Haider has got a decent opening at the box office window. The first day collections should be good now. Early shows have received good opening which is surprising considering it had a limited release and is clashing with a giant called Bang Bang.

The occupancy in Delhi multiplexes is very good and it has managed to get hold of many premium single screens too. Though not much is expected from the single screens but even if it opens at a decent level it should be a good result for Haider. Haider is primarily targeting the multiplex crowds which give patronage to these sort of cinema. Haider is decent in Mumbai city and Kolkata too. Haider is decent in Mysore belt too - key performing area for these type of films. Haider has release in around 1250 screens and even if it manages to stay afloat with 50 % occupancy through out the day then a good day 1 might be on the cards.

Though we have to wait until single screens open in full force but one thing is clear that Haider has managed to stand up against Bang Bang which is good for the trade. We will be back with a single screen report in afternoon.

Haider had a good opening of around 50% especially at premium multiplexes where it recorded over 45-50% occupancies in the first show. The film has been released on around 1250 screens which will be seen as a low screen count but is actually the right screen for a film such as Haider

Haider is a film which will appeal to a limited audience so if it is to well the release also has to be limited. Films like this which have done well have always been tight releases with right selection of theatres and timings. So if Haider has the content the clash with Bang Bang may prove beneficial as otherwise the film would have gone much wider which makes a second week crash inevitable as it has a limited audience. But the key is content, it has to be liked by the public.

The film will put up a healthy total on day one, it will look low compared to some other films due to screen count but it will be one of the higher totals for a film releasing in the screen count range as haider over the last few years. Despite the clash with big budget Bang Bang, the opening of the film gives it a solid chance at the box office it the word of mouth is positive.
