The Kannada film industry loves its share of Bollywood singers " so much so that every film has at least one or two songs rendered by a known voice from there. Among the male voices, Sonu Nigam continues to be one of the most sought-after singers.
The makers of the upcoming Ganapa reveal a little-known story behind a solo number called Muddagi Neenu. Music composer Karan B Krupa and the film's producer Paramesh were keen on having Sonu sing the number. Sources say that Sonu was down with a throat infection at the time the team travelled to Mumbai and, therefore, they requested Arijit Singh to sing it for them. But the team later felt that the song was better suited to Sonu's voice, and as soon as they heard that Sonu was feeling better, they returned to Mumbai and recorded it again with him. "Arijit is a very good singer, but Sonu's voice was just better suited for this number," clarifies Paramesh.
