Deepika's tweets on TOI - Page 14

I don't even think it's that much about privacy (of being clicked by the paps) as it is about a leading newspaper, or society in general, objectifying a woman's body part just for the sake of...well, because they feel they can. Such behavior is so distasteful and pathetic no matter who it comes from - "leading newspaper" or whoever. Women have boobs and they're normal for them to have. This seems to be more about some tharki newspaper account using DP's breasts as the cover picture and acting like it's an alien concept for her or any female for that matter to have cleavage. Even if she does, then SO WHAT?!? Maybe if they hadn't gone all, "boobs omgg they're real?!? let's choose to make it the title of our next article!" about it, then maybe she wouldn't have had to lash out on them.

I am not sure about how to put this... I did not think this was about her privacy... I think it was about the way it was projected by way of the heading... I am sure all of them know they will be photographed and the pictures will be put up somewhere... and I am not surprised that TOI put up something like this because TOI is essentially a Page3 paper... they thrive on such stuff... but it is one thing to publish photos of celebrities and a totally different thing to label that in such a way as to draw attention to the cleavage... that heading was pretty offensive... and that was low class yellow journalism to say the least... I don't think Deepika writing about this on twitter will stop it... I have no idea why she chose to react to it now... may be it comes with being more fearles than before and being more confident than before... and I dont think even she expects it will stop, but it is good to let people know what you think about it... Nothing wrong with it... and I don't know if there is any need to blast her for it or call it overreaction... magazine covers are may be made with the same intent ... similarly skimpy clothes in movies as well... but they dont necessarily market it saying see deepika's cleavage or see katrina's bum or something like that... That kind of headlining and the zooming in on such things somehow is very distasteful... otherwise we have seen many photos of celebrities showing cleavage and what not... such a heading makes it look like a soft po*n site... and I think it was that kind of disrespectful treatment that she reacted to... I don't think she needs to stop wearing any dress she wants to wear because some one will take a photo and put it on their site zooming in on cleavage.. actually that shows the class and culture of the person doing it than the person who is the subject of the photo...

TOI has such posts about almost everyone. Wish they would stop...good she fired back.

i understand that...but somebody quoted abt times of india intention that they are trying encourage people to be obsessed women parts of body and that is correct times of india using dirty tricks to sell the newspaper...but when see other side coin these actresses done same for money by featuring in fashion magzines in biknis and getting money and those magzine posts these bikini shoots on the cover for what? they do for men..they buy these kind of mazgines ..i have no problem in bikini if women in pool but i dont understand same women in bed room in bikni for fashin magzine / ...anything against women is called stone age now*😆

The point is an A-lister actress 'publicly' blasting this newspaper for this sort of look at her body parts ke upar news is now going to get this kind of news item the attention from mainstream media and other members of the fraternity that can decrease down such crass journalism, the amount of sleazy demeaning news items from such reputed newspaper agencies is something that needs to be checked if they dont want to lose their credibility as a newspaper they are India's leading newspaper.

This happens to all its common there are people who like such pics and news items its fine but one goes to Masalahotbabes or Sexyactessesshadysite.com or horny.com type sites to get such stuff about celebs better is expected from India's no1 Newspaper. Its not even an all bolly tablodnewspaper its Times of India. Their readers are from all ages, genders and location.

I don't have a problem with DP's tweet BUT I do have a problem with people like Kjo, KRK and the like.
