I loved Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, lovely chemistry, supporting cast (Rana, the guys who played Shonty and Poplu, Kavya's sister) and not a single dull moment. The scriptwriter and whoever wrote the dialogues did a fabulous job. In particular I loved 'Kaash designer dulhe ko local se badal sakti' it stayed in my mind long after the film ended.

I liked how it didn't try to ape DDLJ, but rather improvised a few scenes here and there, like the 'jaa jeele apni zindagi' but rather developing a bond between Rana and Dhawan and making Rana say that to him instead of Alia.

For me I loved varun's performance he was sweet, he was cute, he was romantic and the character allowed him to show his emotional range which he nailed. Energy wise I dnt think its correct to compare seenu and humpty coz seenu is a total denise, varun would have had to be on a total high all the time whilst doing that character and humpty is diff and more emotional. I loved those friends of his in the film the 1 friend looked like sidharte malhotre lol. As for alia for me this is probably her best pairing she and varun had genuine chemistry together. How ever I think she made their chemsitry simply cute and not hot i think if some1 else would have done the role the chemsitry would have gone beyond simply cute coz varun was really amazing in certain scenes whilst she I felt didn't have the right spark to make the scene even better. Bt I am not in any way saying her acting was bad. there was only 1 scene that was bad by Varun and that was the scene in the end when he was drunk and had to cry. I read that he had to drink real alcohol for the scene and he was really tired and I think coz of that he didn't have control of his facial expressions. I totally blame the director for that scene and not him that was his 3rd movie it was abit to early for him to get drunk and be allowed to act lol. And it wasn't really required it was a very short scene if they had shown him downing a couple of bottles than him actually drinking would have been acceptable.
