I think Parineeti's career is going to be similar to Kangana's. Even though Kangana was praised for her acting, she was never mentioned in the same breath as the other newcomers back in the day. But she slowly grew into her own. Same way, Parineeti may not see spectacular success like Alia saw this year. She will be slow and steady and will shine later.

Her direct competitors are Shradda and Alia. You can say Alia has KJo, but Pari has YRF. And let's be honest, Shradda is not just weak, she sucked and can suck terribly (EV death scene alone..oye). But the thing is she is willing to take risks and walk away with even a giant like YRF. But she also makes something like a Haider. Deepika sucked in acting for a long time, but she was versatile. Look at her earlier films. People grab what they get, but Pari debuted with a film fare award and more importantly a national award mention. She should be on top, not struggling now. Films should be offered to her, not others because she is that good. She just hid behind that award and kept repeating that performance. Who wants to see that ?

Strong female roles ? which of her contemporaries or even Deepika, Sonakshi, Anushka. Kat are doing strong female roles. Mostly flower pot ones but you can see a difference there. And no one debuted with a fanbase. Even starkids. Their fanbase was earned and only glamour can take you so far. If you think someone like Kat who is wooden and has only glamour roles has not worked hard, think again. The woman had to learn a new language just to communicate.

Living under a rock ? Pari was mentioned for a national award in her second film. That is more than just praise. Everyone has improved from their debut. Pari has stagnated. Kangana always took risks, even in something as simple as kissing in a movie like Shoot out. Don't even compare.

Lets just state reality, Pari is beautiful and can Act. But then thats almost everyone else in BW right now too. On top of that, as Pari herself said, " Nobody wants a fat actress." She's not a Katrina, Deepika or even Priyanka in terms of physique, so she doesn't suit every role, even if she can act it well. Its not always up to the actors what kind of films they get offered, had Pari been offered to do Singham returns she would, had she been offered Haider she would do it, had she been offered something like Ram leela I'm sure she would do it. But I am sure that the directors do not see her in the role, so they do not cast her. Its just the reality of bollywood, that doesn't make her any less of an actor than any of the other girls, or it shouldn't make us doubt her versatility. I think thats a little unfair. She can only take a risk, if she is offered a risk.

Parineeti's filmography is horrible! I like her...but its AWFUL. She has shown zero versatility and no variation whatsoever.

I know lots of people here don't like Shraddha Kapoor and feel she is a terrible actor. But I have more respect for her filmography. Aashiqui 2 to Ek Vilain to Haider to ABCD2 to Milan Takies - all VERY different projects with different roles!

And what a comeback Alia has made this year. Even thought HSKD and 2States were kind of the same...Highway show great improvement.

I feel like Alia/Shraddha have costed Parineeti a lot! I just cant see Pari in a Haider or Highway! I know Haider hasn't released but you can kind of get an idea of the character - I just cant picture her being angelic and graceful.

I really think Parineeti should take a break after Kill Dil and reevalute her career. I haven't heard of her sign anything interesting in a very long time.

Parineeti is going through the same thing that Anushka went through...stuck with YRF, doing the films that are being offered to her, rather than making her own choices.

She is a very good actress and is one of those few who has a terrific screen presence, but her film choices have been absymal. No matter how well you do the same kind of role, one has to show some kind of versatility.

I hope she does something completley different now, something that breaks her image as this bubbly, over-excited, hyper Punjabi girl next door.

She is talented, it would be a shame if she just fades away, only due to bad choices.

With the arrival of Aalia,Shraddha & Kriti,Parineeti is in a precarious position.These actresses have given big hits & are far more popular than Pari esp the first two. Kriti too is bagging new projects while Pari has not signed anything new. The movie with Saif looks shelved & one with RK didn't materialise. Feel bad for her...I consider her more talented than the above mentioned actresses but if DEI or Kill Dill doesn't work,she is almost done.
