Deepika Padukone's Finding Fanny 1st day Friday Box Office Collection is 4.65 cr. The Day 1 business is 20th Highest First Day Collections for any Hindi Film in 2014.
The Opening was decent in multiplexes considering it is a English film made with the Hindi film stars. The opening as expected was better though low in places like Mumbai, Dellhi/NCR, Mysore etc. It has released in around 900 screens ( primarily in multiplexes and a handful of elite single screens). The fate of the film depends on the growth it has on Saturday and Sunday. The first day is equal to the first day collections of Hasee Toh Phasee.
The movie is expectedly poor in single screen and mass dominated belts and will be solely relying on Mumbai, Delhi NCR to help it show growth through out the weekend. The movie has to show some growth in tier 2 multiplexes in order to get a major growth in the weekend.
Saturday Update
The movie has started on a better than Friday and has shown growth in multiplexes all over and show see further growth in evening and night shows courtesy Sunday being a Holiday. The film should touch 5.25-5.50 cr mark in the worst case scenario.

mann homi rock. never really liked your cocktail...while world was going ga ga over that, bri was not liking too much. but damn here u nailed it and how!the best thing about movie, its original. now how the heck you came up with this homi? beside the originality, its the silence in the movie which won me. hahahaha...is bollywood really growing up. haven't read rajeev masands review yet, but hope he has liked this one more than znmd. i will take this over that any given day. agar wannabe movie make karna hai...then give me a finding fanny.another great thing..making a movie with character artists. thank god they are not sidelined to accommodate the star characters. haha...no lead characters here, that's the beauty of it. and boy how everyone shines here. amazing. pankaj.. waht gem...take a bow ..phew..isse kehte hain kamaal ka acting. bravo.👏 naseer...do we need to say anything...yup i wanna say he was so so adorable i want to hug him. 😳dimple..yeah baby, u rocked and ur ass rocked, thanks homi 😆.this lady won a national award..aur kuch👍🏼HILLARIOUS!!now arjun..i know i have done some dhulali to you, kya karen..u never clicked me...BUT...finally a natural performance from you, yes a natural performance. keep working hard...will be looking out for your next. but yeah...thodi seh slim ho jaa...now the last BUT not least...deepika p. and yes, i did not find your cocktail all that..i thought it was hyped, and you were just good, no more no less. and here you and homi come again...you know what...i thought u are so happening today cos of a ram leela happened. dead wrong i was. guess what..from now on..you don't need a bhansali, bhansali needs you. from the moment you come on screen,, how you make everyone connect with angie should be applauded. instant connection i call. stunner and a stunning performance. no, i wouldn't call it a 10/10 performance, but gal, its coming ..ur 10/10 will very soon happen. just keep working hard and pick right movies. u sure surprised me. simply loved your. BIG THUMBS UP!!!direction, music/sound waht little there was, like the ending song, the screenplay-top, crisp editing..hah movie is not even 2hrs, the CINEMATOGRAPHY, just wow...goa and deepika so beautifully captured by the lenses - kudos👍🏼, the costumes, i loved the deepus dresses, so refreshing..everyone were perfectly dressed...heck everything very very well done!now...yes..all movies have flaws, and this one too. the biggest flaw...the first 10/15 mins...bloody slow pace..its like W*Fff...gaadi chalne ka naam nahi leta tha...but guys guys...pls shaant ho jaa..relax...tell you after this 10/15 mins, movie sucks you in so deep, that you wanna be sucked in for life. at least that happened with me. i didn't want to leave my seat, i was dragged home.😔also wanna say i didn't like what happened to Pedro - so sudden and a no no to the cat. the cat dying should have been avoided.but loved the humor, it wasn't like a comedy show ...but its laughs were situational , dark, you can chukles even there was a death 😆 have to really pay attention to the movie to get the best out of it😆 ...theater was half packed..tell yu all were having a blast.just go ahead and give a watch. even if you don't like it, hey you can say i experienced something HATtKE!!!😆bri gives 4/5 in her overacting ishtyle.ps..ranveer got HUGE applause...HUGE...😆he stole those few seconds from all.another ps: all dips and arjun fans..do not get disappointed if movie doesn't click at boxoffice. be proud of your favs ..they done wonderful job here.enjoy!ignore mistakes...its almost 2 in the morning here...gonna hit the sack now! goodnight.

Director Homi Adajania's quirky comedy has opened incredibly well at the counters to register 5.10 crores on 1st Friday. The actors and the makers are overwhelmed with the positive response from the critics, industry insiders and audiences.

Finding Fanny is riding on hugely positive word of mouth and rave reviews. Looking at the current pace, the film will surely record a solid weekend number.
Director Homi Adajania said, "I don't follow all this number stuff but I'm just glad that my producer didn't have to sell his house! The coolest thing is that the audiences today are savvy enough to immerse themselves into the experience and they are totally getting the layers and nuances of the film. It's a very healthy sign for filmmakers."
