He has totally lost it... there is a difference between being an atheist and believing in a religion... He is purposely mocking and I feel offended as a Ganesha devotee..

These stories come Puarans... the other name for it is.. Dant-kathas.. which means mythological tales.

Since the vedas and shashtra were of highest level of ancient acedemic structures, only the learnt Brahmins and some Khshtriyas can understand them and let the knowledge be passed on and followed. The general public were not educated enough to grasp the knowledge of Vedas and Shshtras, the Brahmins created Upnishads and Puranas.

Purnanas are your typical comic books that can go upto your typical Herry potter books. It is full of stories that r fantastical and entertaining but each has a message in the end.

The lord Ganesha being beheaded by his father Shiva and then being fitted with an elephant's head is a 😲😕 factor story.. nothing else.

The real factor is symbolism and philosophy behind it. In short.. The paramatma- Parameshwar is only ONE! who? not who.. what? Its symbol is "source of light" and in words its AUM (not Om as its pronounced).

There are 3 lords- Brahma- who created the universe- Generator

Vishnu- Who looks after it- Operator

Mahesh(Shiva)- Who ends whats created- Destroyer.

G- O- D-= GOD, thats where the word came from.

Vishnu is the one who incarnated himself as Lord Ram, Krishna as being the most well-known ones, Budha being the last one of 16 avatars.

Now, SHIVA- althou Hez the lord of death and destruction, Hez considered to be most rewarding one for worshippers. His pictures shows.. blue skin color- the poison he drank for humanity, Ganga- the lifeline of ancient India.. even today, cobra as garland- a snake that can put fear of God in human, Trishul- a weapon to kill 3 demons (as against 3 lords), Damroo- the war dance instrument, lion fur as cloths- Hez the king of all kings in jungle.. just Fascinating !

His legacy or gifts to menkind is 2 offsprings- Ganesh and Kartikeya. Ganesh represents gentle giant represented by elephant head. Ahead of wisdom, memory and humality. His body is of a big man who likes to eat... for fun! His best frnds r mouse (animal science now know elephant is only scared of rats more than anything else) and nandi- the bull.

Hez been given the stutus of first lord to be worshipped before any big holy occassions. Pray and ask for any forthcoming problems to be taken care of and success of the holy rituals (be it wedding or any big celebrations or new job or new house or new vehicle).

Its all about the faith and peace inside when u go thru the rituals. And isnt religion all about faith and feelings? Isnt humanity about faith and feelings? Dont always put our best feet forward for something meaningful? and then hope it works out?

I m not relgious nor an athiest! I have seen debates between the 2 groups over the years and most of the times athiest come out as winners... coz they ask more and reply less. Relgious ppl ask less and defend. Its none of those things. God is not universal as most organised religions want us to blv, its not even non-existent as ethiests like to blv.. its very PERSONAL. As personal as my thoughts are.

Now, I will tackle stpd attention seeker RGV's questions. 😉

ok I will ans the questions.

Just b4 that.. in brief, Sanatan Dharma is about mythologies to symbolism to simplify the most complex philosophies.

It has A- Aaple, B-Ball to how to make words to how to make sentences to how to graduate to how to do PhD.. to how to keep learning all the life.

These stories came out of Puarans.. which is a huge book meaning ancient mythologies. Its more like comic books of superheros for 5 year olds to Herry potter stories for 15 years old.

Its an introduction to the big complex world of spirtuality and religion. Its a Santa Clause and Tooth fairy stories that will go on forever.

But most Hindus dont know how to answer those questions coz they r more into faith and not into logic. Thats how religion works anyways.

I m not religious and not atheist either. I have seen and argues in those huge deep debates and seen mostly atheist wins.. coz they have logic, not faith. They have question, not answers.

When His parents wanted to know who can do the rounds of Earth 11 times faster between Ganesh and Kartikeya.. Ganesh as foody and lazy as he was and Kartikeya who can travel as fast as light.. Kartikeya went on to the mission.. meanwhile Ganesh did 11 rounds of the parents.. and finished it. Kartikeya arrived later. Shiva- Parvati asked Ganesh.. what did u do? Ganesh said" the whole universe is not bigger than mata-pita.. so I did rounds around U". He was diclared winner and the lord of wisdom. Says who? Mythology.

According to the mythology, Lord Ganesha's mother Parvati instructed him to guard a door when she went for a bath and told him not to allow anyone inside. But when Lord Shiva came, Ganesha refused to allow him inside. In his fury Shiva severed Ganesha's head

To this, Varma asks, "Can someone explain how someone can cut off a child's head who was just trying to protect his mother's modesty? Am sure devotees know better.

----------------------> Bcoz acc. to mythology, the child was created Maa Parvati's blessings to protect her modesty when she was showering and noone was to welcome guests. When Lord Shiva comes and surprized to see small child whoz stopping him to enter the house.. he asks who r u? He says I m Parvati maa's son.. to which Shiva ignores him but the child uses his might to stop Shiva to which Shiva cuts his head in anger thinking hez some mayavi rakshas who may have harmed his wife..

He further explained his tweets by saying that his tweets are coming from both his ignorance and innocence on the matter.

"All concerned pls undrstand tht my questions nd observations on Ganesha are coming from both my innocence nd ignorance on the subject matter," he tweeted.-----> Your ignorance and innocence r best be left for your films. At least, You might be learning something.

He later added that he would like to be educated on his queries on Lord Ganesha by esteemed experts on the matter and also mentioned that his movies are not doing well because of his attitude towards gods.

His last tweet on the matter read, "All tweets I put on Ganesha were in my usual manner but unintended by me to hurt anyone's sentiments...but if they did I sincerely apologize."---------> Oh yes, U got attention IF.. now pray Lord Ganesha that u dont attention from Shiv sena or other groups who are not shy let their emotions known in public.

Lets say GANAPATI BAPPA MORIYAAA! And wish for some wisdom in RGV's mind. And hope he doesnt get more attention for his own well being!

Sorry i actually cant tolerate nonsensical digs and silly question on any gods. If atheist then be one and stop making a fool outta yourself for questioning something that ridiculous. I really get furious when others take digs at hindu. Despite born in NZ, my folks have taught me enough and made sure i get the right amount of knowledge, i have strong faith in my religion and have equal respect for all religions.

Ram Gopal Varma is doing this for some attention from media. People do anything for publicity these days
