I see your point and it is partly true. But I don't think you can compare SRK and Paresh Rawal. Even if Paresh Rawal is respected for his talent, he doesn't have the star power SRK carries. Aryan may get work because someone is schmoozing or afraid of crossing SRK. While people will be more comfortable rejecting Paresh Rawal's sons.
That being said whether a big time star or small star, it makes a big difference when they say they want their kids to make it on their own. Some star parents have invested a lot to make their kids stars by investing in films, getting tailor made scripts, directing them, calling all their contacts to make it happen. At least it forces the kids to make their own connections and do legwork.
While KJo may still give work to Aryan, there is a subtle difference between SRK saying make a movie with Aryan I'll give all the money you need versus Aryan going to KJO to audition for a role. Also when honestly mean they want their kids to struggle, it prevents people from doing favors for the heck of it. Someone may cast Aryan because they are afraid rejecting him will piss SRK off. But if SRK is honest, a filmmaker maybe more comfortable rejecting Aryan if he is not suited or not good enough.
That being said 100% agree that a star kid is a star kid and even if their parents let them on their own they have a massive advantage over outsiders. People may pick a mediocre Aryan over a good newcomer just because he is Aryan.
PS: Aryan/SRK are mostly examples here.
I'd take him to court for being a neglecting father if I were his kid.

Well that is the right way to go about it. Don't shove your kids at the audience. Let the industry choose talent.
What I worry about is that the truly talented stars will struggle, while untalented star kids will get careers handed on a platter.

I'm still trying to connect the dots between Kapoor Sons—an emotionally layered, brilliantly directed family drama—and Gehraiyaan—a film that...
