There's nothing silly about it. SRK is known widely among non-Indians whereas most of them don't know who Salman is. Go and ask any foreigner who watches Bollywood movies. Most of them watch just SRK movies. It's a fact, really.

Srk is known actor internationally but that doesn't mean salman is any less, his popularity overseas after ek tha tiger had increased a lot. Many of my friends watched ETT and they loved it so much that they decided to watch, salman other movies, they watched his HDDCS, tere naam, dabbang, Bodguard and they loved it.

As far as who's over seas king is concern, then it's aamir, he have 500 plus movie dhoom 3. All three khans are known over seas, they define bollywood

Even in 2003, it was salman verses Srk verses Hrithik. It was only in 2006 and 2008 when salman was going through a horrible phase but then he bounce back.


I think i am in a better position to analyze that because i am a fan of all 3 khans since 1990, you seem not 😉. SRK in real sense doesn't have a low phase in his career. Started with a bang and will end with a bang. Respect people for their achievements!!!

Since i have to take SRK side here, i just want to tell you that achievement is measured from the root (beginning).
Salman's achievement from being son of a total filmy family to achieve this stardom today is nothing compared to SRK's achievement from being noone to be among the richest actor in the world and most famous worldwide from bollywood.

WHATEVER SALMAN ACHIEVES IN LIFE WILL FALL FLAT WHEN YOU COMPARE IT WITH SRK.

Salman's list of movies will hold no water against SRK's legacy of movies

Look in India Currently(Post Dabangg 2010) Salman is undisputed 1(Though may change in coming years) ... You just can't compete with Salman's stardom right now... From 1995 to 2007-08 SRK was mostly undisputed 1 though Salman, Aamir had their share of Brilliance... Whereas Aamir has also been good... He has outshined everyone in few particular years...


But in overseas you just can't compare SRK with his contemporaries ...If i am not wrong SRK has 18 or something blockbusters ...Aamir has been in top 2...Akshay Salman have been good

Hi, i live in mainland Europe. and it's true. Many europeans who dont know BW that well happen to know SRK but not Salman. They also know Amitabh, raj kapoor (old ppl). I don't exactly know the reason. Many girls here know srk because of his romantic movies. Yash chopra is famous here, he even has a lake on his name. other reasons could be srk endorsing swiss watches and shooting a lot of movies in europe.
I can tell this is true for Switzerland, Spain, Germany and east europe, all of where i have lived for more than a year.

It might have happened also because Salman had a low phase from 2000 till 2009 or so when the internet really made the world small.Foreigners probably heard more SRK than Salman during this phase.

I think we should accept that and also the overseas earnings clearly show it.

But i can easily feel why it's difficult for ppl living in india or other places to believe that because salman fan following in india is incomparable. But india is not world.
