Will it always be MASALA films ruling or can MAINSTREAM be redefined?!

I am not posting that much this month. But this topic is being requested by someone special. 😉 So, we know MASALA films are ruling Bollywood lately. Whether KICK, SINGHAM 2, etc. But, they lack the content and MAINSTREAM BOLLYWOOD is losing its identity. Can it be redefined? Please share your thoughts.

Why do people think all masala movies lack story?

Not all art movies are master pieces and not all masala movies are garbage.

Movies like Dabbang, Singham ect did had a good content, they were enjoyable but at the same time they had a good story.

ETT Kick Holiday were good too although I won't tag them as masala movies but they wrre good movies with good messages.

Only ones with content. Mary Kom looks good, empowering story.

And I also enjoy thrillers like Lucy (Hollywood) and Guardians of the
