Shekhar Kapur hasn't announced the female lead yet. Rumours of Kristen were a long time back I think, when HR was in talks for the film. Last we heard was Emma Watson, but Shekhar neither denied nor accepted it (unlike how he has clearly denied some earlier rumours) sooo.. no idea.

As to why the film was postponed from August to December, no reason has been announced. One possible reason could be pre-production, one could also be to match dates with actors from HW.

Reading the title I thought that Sushmita sen is gonna
make her comeback as alia's elderly sis or something 😆
Alia is on some signing spree, seems like this might
be a non Dharma prod. but I just don't like this sushant guy

That means this film is possible as both Alu and SSR will have dates. Its good for both actually to work in a non-Dharma and non-YRF film respectively.

Yes, but Saif is working on a film with Homi around November. He said it himself in an interview. So the only way Sushant can do this one is if it gets wrapped up by Nov. (which would be very difficult unless this is a short project) or if it happens next year after Sushant is done with his current slate. Can't say anything about Alia as I don't know her schedules of shooting.

@nikita- I hope to god its not Kristen..Emma is fine but doubt she'l agree to do this film 😕 Either ways, after all this, i hope the film gets made & Shekar Kapur doesn't abandon it mid-way like always..

I know. Right now all of us are keeping our hopes on two confirmed facts, first, that YRF is actually working on this project behind the scenes (A.R. Rehman's songs, YRF Design cell in UK, the VFX, and so on) so Adi C won't let all the money go to waste.😆 And second, that Sushant seems so sorted and chilled these days (in pics and all), partying, preparing, having a total makeover, that it actually gives strength to hope that, maybe, things are delayed but not off track...
