She is not going to get Blockbuster scripts, is she ? . There are 450 indie type scripts in BW ?? 😲

But hetal there is a difference, aish is an A lister and at that time she was number 1 or at least she was in top 2 or 3. Nimrit is really known actress. If Deepika, Kareena, Katrina, Priyanka had said the same thing then at least it would had been more easier to believe

I find it unbelievable that it just happened. Someone told her about the role (she must have a Hollywood agent) so she auditioned. They liked her and the fact that she did Lunchbox helped her. That sounds logical but not sthg you can say.

Also 450 could be a number to mean a lot. It's not literal. Aish getting 15-20 scripts a day is also not to be taken literally! It means "many" to the point that the actors felt overwhelmed.

I do not believe only talent can take you far. It can take you to a good place but not far enough. You have to be talented (or not) but one must be smart with people to get to the top in showbiz.

If Hollywood is looking for an average Indian face, it will pick Frieda over say, Kareena. You know what I mean. :)

I watched TLB much later than my American friends. They found Nimrat good and the movie amazing. I agree with the comments on the film but I think any actress could've done Nimrat's role. TLB's hero is the script and of course Irrfan...esp. that scene where he looks out of the patio and the kids closes the window. Nimrat gained a lot outside India, I believe. So I'm sure it was easy for her to get the audition for American series. I don't think in India anybody really cared. Even Kashyaps and Motwanes go after popular actresses these days. I don't find Nimrat that great either.
