Ever since Salman Khan confirmed that he is acting in Shuddhi, there have been speculations about the heroine opposite him in the film. There were rumours that Deepika Padukone was signed for the part, but there is no official confirmation. Dips, who has committed 200 days to Sanjay Leela Bhansali might not have the necessary dates, but she has told producer Karan Johar that she will make time for Shuddhi, as the actress is very keen to do a film with Salman.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline Fernandez has made a hit pair with Salman in Kick, so she is also in the running. Johar is very impressed with her and wants to cast her.
