Looks r important. Talent is lot more. Its better if u r 100% free soul under ur skin than to point fingers at others..

Looks matter for actresses far more than actors . Milind Soman,Arjun Rampal failed while Katrina became a superstar

I thought it was very rude of Shabana to talk to them like this about their looks.

What is she herself? A Miss World?

Talent should matter and these two have it in abundance. But yes looks end up reducing a guy to character actor or limit roles in mainstream films. Naseer still got some mainstream work. Om Puri was forced to be villain or supporting actor and remain limited to arthouse circuit and TV.

Depends on the role and the story.

There are some roles where if the actor/actress have model looks it becomes unbelievable.

Other way around too.

If the character is seen as someone incredibly desirable and they aren't very goodlooking then it becomes unbelievable.
