Remembrance is the main big thing but finally numbers also did it

MPK is a blockbuster. But who remembers numbers or even knows.

Yes as I adult I should be embarrassed about liking a movie that has a kaboother being used to send love letters, but I love the movie for innocence and the cheese. The whole Salman turning his head during the introduction scene, the love for his mother, the innocent love between him and Bhagyashree, the one hand pushups, the 'dosti ka ek husool hain madam, no sorry, no thanks'. I could go on and on about the movie and I have not even talked about the tons of memories i have with it. That is what MPK is to me. I assume many fans have memories of Sallu movies like that.

I am not against numbers, people make movies for money, not charity. But to reduce a movie, that too a mass entertainer to numbers and competition is *shrug*. The value lies in the fun people had and in repeat value.

At the end of the day, numbers are just that. Numbers.

The great value of a film to me is in the fun people have watching it, dancing in the theater or marriages, laughing with family, watching it with friends during a sleep over, listening to songs on the Ipod over and over, introducing films you love to people who have no clue about them. A movie becomes beloved to me not because of the acting or story but because of the memories I have attached to them.

Salman has been entertaining me since I was a kid. His movies are not numbers to me, they are memories. That is why Salman still has a career IMO despite so many setbacks. His has not been an easy ride . Not because of numbers, because people like to see him on screen regardless of hits or flops. Few actors in the world have it.

you said it all
