I know people opened many pos and neg topics on kick but guess what I wrote another one so sorry if People are not interested in reading it but I think this character deserve a thread.
According to me, the character of Devi/Devil was very well written and Salman was perfect as Devi/devil. This character was better written than Chulbul pandey character was ( I loved dabbang but kick surprised me and so did Salman Khan Performance )
SPOILER ALERT
His character had many shades. Devi was a guy who just wanted kick ( fun and excitement ). He couldn't stick to one thing. He easily got bored of what he did and just left whatever bored him. It's very realistic actually. As we people in real do get bored of things and just want to let go! But then he met a girl and start working for the sake of her but he couldn't do it anymore so he left. Then we saw emotional side of Devi. How he found his kick in just one small thing. That kid! He did all possible for her. He was rejected by people. He was made fun of but still he got that money and that girl survived. We finally saw a emotional side of Devi. How surprising from fun side to emotional side. He saved that girl finally but that doctor showed him that there is not just one kid suffering, there are many others who are suffering. He found his kick. He wanted to bring smile on those kids faces, And then he became DEVIL. A grey shade character. He fought with everyone for those kids. He fought from the world without caring about anyone. He putted his life in danger. From Devi to Devil, his journey was very interesting!
Some scenes were very well written and I loved them. I loved the Nawaz Randeep Scene, the one where both were drunk. They had a great chemistry. Devil made him fool. I also loved the scene where devil comes in front of Shaina after interval and passed right infront of himaanshu. And himaanshu couldn't figure out that he just met devil. And then the scene where himaanshu figures out that Devi is devil. When Shaina finds out about this and devil pointed gun at Shaina and said look at my eyes, who do you see Devi and devil and he finally jumps off. That was WOW and I felt for Shaina. Another scene I loved was where devil and shiv comes face to face and devil beated all his man. Those action scenes were very well shot. Shiv laugh was epic and then devil laughed after he defeated shiv was amazing. And then Devi scenes with that small girl were epic. All those scenes where he tried his best to save her were amazing. He hugged that girl and cried. He prayed for her that she gets well soon and finally god listened to his prayers and he finally saw that kid smiling and said you should smile always. Sallu made me emotional. And then finally at the end, when himaanshu was about to shot devil but finally those kids saved him, that was amazing! And he hugged all of them. And then when at the end, Devi Singh becomes police offer! And his convo with himaanshu was good. I enjoyed it.
Devi Shaina and Devi scenes with his father were very good esp. Saat Samandar was epic. Lol
The character of Devi and devil had many shades and that's what I enjoyed the most, the movie was entertaining but wasn't just a typical masala movie, it was beyond that, Emotions and relationships were well shown.
This is Salman Khan one of the best performances. And I think the character of Devi/devil deserved to be iconic just like how Chulbul pandey, Radhe, Prem, Sameer were, this movie is beyond blockbuster of Sallu.
