Read The Last Lecture' and The Fault in Our Stars'. Two completely different books that emphasize positivity through trying phases.

If it makes you feel better I have a relative who had to have hysterectomy in her late seventies. She is in the mid-eighties and is doing well for her age. She is a widow who lives on her own and still enjoys serving coffee & snacks to guests and stuffing up her grandkids with homemade food. It has been 7-8 years since the operation I think. Her older sister also had to have hysterectomy and has lived long since then.

It is. I have lost all my grandparents before even my marriage. None of them lived to see my wedding whenever that happens. And now I've lost two relatively young masis (they were only 59 and 60). It's the hardest thing ever and I don't want to see anyone having to go through the tough times my family has been through.

Hardy, praying daily for you and your family. How's she doing now?

She is doing much better today. Her sugar level has been brought down to normal (130). The doctors have scheduled her biopsy tomorrow. But she is afraid of having any kind of surgery. She has even refused to do biopsy so the doctors have decided to give her general anesthesia while doing her biopsy.

This just gave me a hope. Thank you.

That's good. Normal sugar level is a great indication.
She will be okay. Just be with her and be strong. This too shall pass.
