Siddharth Malhotra is a non-actor mostly. I think he is very wooden. Varun Dhawan is a better actor than Siddharth but he will not look convincing in action roles. His genre is romantic comedies.

I agree with the person who said that he wouldn't be able to carry off action but then again, Bollywood makes so many romantic comedies, which are his forte, so he's not exactly going to be out of work, is he?

NO, the man has more emotions in his face than few other actors. 100 crore means nothing. eventually, everyone gets it. Take example of Ranveer, DDD most probably will cross 100 cr, so will BM. But i can tell you it means nothing.
He is fine IMO but i think he will stick to his father's genre which will actually be good for him. Because there are better actors in the industry, namely Ranbir and Ranveer. I am not sure if he is interested to catch or match them. Everyone has their life and they know how they want to move ahead.

HSKD was a better film than the likes of Ek Villian, 2 States and Ram Leela anyway
