I like Fawad and I have almost watched all his work till date (the good and bad). But I also don't think the film will be major success and there are a few reasons for that.

1) Khoobsurat is a remake of the 1980 film Khoobsurat starring Rekha. So there is bound to be comparisons made between the two. Going by Sonam's over the top irritating loud expressions in the teaser and posters, I doubt that her acting credibility will be able to match that of Rekha's.

2) As you mentioned, yes Fawad is a Pakistani superstar but I doubt he will be able to pull much audience into Indian theaters.

3) Sonam seems atrocious in the poster and teaser both. She might be well known for her fashion or whatever but she cerainly is not an audience puller.

I still don't wan to say that Khoobsurat will be a flop or whatever without seeing the full trailer and listening to the album. The trailer and the music really earn a film extra brownie points before it releases so lets see. I have expectations from Fawad and hope that he had enough script knowledge to choose a good script. Sonam,I'm not so sure.

Well the posters haven't impressed me but I guess this is a movie for niche audience & if this director did direct Amir, I have some hope. But it will depend on how much RESTRAIN Sonam can show. From the looks of it, her character is supposed to be bubbly, mischievous but she can go OTT & irritating easily. Anyway I will watch it for her clothes ONLY...on DVD ofcourse! I hope it's a hit for her sake.
