Guys, don't be disappointed with the trailer. It's a AK production so obviously Sonam will be highlighted. Upcoming promos/songs and the actually movie might be different. Try being optimistic.

Also, Khoobsurat is a female-centric film and I do think Fawad know that going in, but I also think Fawad is so talented that they must have giving him more to do than be a handsome man just walking around.

Besides, he's signed another film with YRF so he's def gonna go places and hopefully this movie is a hit so he gets more offers.

But Pakistan is his own country, not India. Indians not supporting him makes sense, because people here hardly support Pakistani actors. That goes deeper than surface. But yes, I see your point. TBH, I am extremely disappointed too and I want much better from him, but watching that live chat made me forget everything for a bit. I also don't think bollywood is something he should do right now, because he won't get proper projects. But well, he is such a gentleman. Who wouldn't like him in real life?
😆 I need to stop fangirling.

I meant to say Indians who've gotten to know Fawad and are familiar with his work. I think most people who have seen Fawad's potential (not just Pakistanis) can agree that Fawad has a lot more to offer. The only problem is we aren't getting to see much of that from his end. Honestly speaking, when I saw Fawad in the trailer..I was a little disappointed because he seemed all dolled up, there wasn't much of him in the trailer, and as someone else said here, it was as if he was a showpiece in the background. I really do hope that the film works..but I'm not sure if he'll ever get extraordinary projects in Bollywood which would help bring out the the actor we aren't getting to see. Khoobsurat seems more like a chance for him to put himself more out there and see what happens from there onwards. It doesn't seem like a genuine effort from his end to prove himself even further as a performer. If that makes any sense? I guess I just expect a lot from Fawad? lol

but yeah I know what you mean lolll...the live chat was definitely endearing and worthwhile! Fawad's demeanor is always so composed, classy and elegant.

I completely agree. Weird really because Ali Zafar's Tere Bin Laden was a much better project than this, which made people notice him as an actor. Fawad should have gone in small budget, indie films direction than this mess. But well, I keep thinking that he is completely self-destructive like most sagittarians, and I fear that he has already peaked in terms of performance, which is my biggest concern. He really needs focus and rethink his career decisions. People say Numm was the worst decision he made, I in fact though Numm is fabulous, this movie is the worst decision he made. And this movie will mess up his mojo in a larger scale to the point of no return. He will always be known as the guy in that Disney nonsense. I really don't want that for him. Bad mental picture.
But yeah, he is a darling offscreen. Wonderful man.

i am in the minority. i think to survive in bollywood you first need a hit film or a film that will get noticed rather than "performance based" film. Look at rajiv khandelwal - he did a really nice film like Amir and then got lost in the crowd

no matter how big FK is in pakistan, can he really get a top notch project here? i don't think so. So khoobsurat is not a bad bet. if it does even reasonably well, it will at least get him attention. And the kapoor sisters will get him some amount of visibility here. if he gets even 2-3 decent scenes in the film, he'll get noticed. he can always do great films later - when he actually is in a position to choose.
