Bhansali- Salman patch up

While a teaser trailer of Omung Kumar's much- awaited Mary Kom was released on Priyanka Chopra's birthday on Friday, the first full- fledged trailer of the film, cut by producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is going to be out on July 24.

And reliable sources suggest that the trailer would be attached to Salman Khan's Eid blockbuster Kick, thus bringing to an end a long cold- war between Bhansali and Salman.

The two were inseparable friends when they worked together in Khamoshi: The Musical, Hum... Dil De Chuke Sanam and Saawariya. Later they fell apart for many reasons. According to sources, mutual friends poisoned the two against each other.

Now with Salman apparently giving the go- ahead for the Mary Kom trailer to be attached to Kick, the stage is set for the grand patch- up of 2014.

Says a source close to both Salman and Bhansali, " Sanjay's sister Bela Sehgal has been trying to bring them together. Only now has Salman thawed.

When Bela had invited Salman to see her directorial debut Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi he had extended all his love and support to Bela but refused to fraternise with Sanjay." However, this deadlock between Salman and Bhansali may end now.

The Mary Kom trailer is expected to be officially launched by Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions and Viacom 18 on July 24 . Ajit Andhare, the COO of Viacom 18, says, " We're thrilled with the astounding response to the poster and teaser which we had titled Mary Kom Punch'. These have set us up very well for the trailer which will be out later this week. We've titled the trailer Mary Kom Knock- out'. The first round is won and we're looking forward to the next." Mary Kom director Omung Kumar says, " I am very happy with the response.

After a long time there has been a frenzy of this sort surrounding the release of a poster. It felt good to hear all the fabulous comments. We had to live up to people's expectations with the teaser also. I think we succeeded in doing so. Now we've the trailer coming up. I am very excited. It's been a long wait for me. I can finally showcase my work to the world."
