Hate Story 2 had a good first day with collections likely to come in the 4.50-4.75 crore nett range. The film had morning collections which suggested a 3 crore nett opening day but multiplexes managed to pick up after the morning shows.
The single screens had started off better but many places could have even better if it was not for Ramadan. East Punjab was best as it grossed a huge 77 lakhs nett and there is very little Ramadan affect in this circuit. Delhi/UP was around 1 crore nett while Rajasthan was 30 lakhs nett approx.
The film may drop on day two as single screens where the bulk of the business is coming from will drop but the film is on course to be a winner as the multiplexes have performed very well for this type of film.
