Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor has been using her free time during the shoot of Bajrangi Bhaijaan to good use.

After the first schedule in Old Delhi, director Kabir Khan's film 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is presently being shot in Karjat. Taking out time during the shoot, Kareena Kapoor decided to join the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which has so heartily been endorsed by a lot of Bollywood celebrities.

She stepped out to paint the walls of some houses in Karjat. Her hubby Saif Ali Khan may be seen splashing the walls of luxurious pads with deluxe paints in television commercials, but Kareena Kapoor did wield the paintbrush and the roller for real.

Coincidentally, her co-star Salman Khan had conducted his own elaborate Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Karjat some time back. He had actually got his hands dirty in cleaning up a lot of mess.

Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor are currently shooting in Karjat for Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. While Salman plays a Muslim boy, nothing much is known till now about Bebo's role.

According to a daily, Kareena plays a well-to-do Brahmin girl from Lucknow who moves to Delhi's Chandni Chowk where she meets Salman's character. The film touches on contemporary political issues.
Bebo will have desi look in the film and will be see in cotton churidar-kurtas in vibrant shades.

A love-story of Muslim guy and a Hindu girl, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
While the film will release on Eid next year, there are reports that the first look of the film will be out on Salman's birthday ie. 27th December.

Here's Kareena Kapoor from the sets of the Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the shooting of which is currently underway in Karjat. Although director Kabir Khan remains tight-lipped about her character in the film, Mirror has learnt that the actress, who was paired with Sallu earlier in Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Bodyguard, is playing a well-to-do Brahmin girl from Lucknow who moves to Delhi's Chandni Chowk.

Says a source close to the production, "In Delhi she meets Salman's Bajrangi and initially there is a conflict of ideologies.The film touches on contemporary political issues and has a girl child in a prominent role. Her presence is crucial to the plot." Kareena's costumes, designed by Manish Malhotra, have been tailored for a progressive, educated protagonist. According to the source, Kareena will sport cotton churidar-kurtas in vibrant shades of red, yellow and orange. Her character has a penchant for bright hues and there are traditional sarees too.

"She wears minimal accessories and her hair is usually pulled back in a bun," adds the source. "It's a desi look but it is different from the ethnic looks she has sported in films like Jab We Met, Bodyguard, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and Singham Returns. This is more authentic."

Salman plays a Muslim boy from Chandni Chowk in the romantic drama . The film's first schedule started in Delhi and wrapped up on November 14. The 2015 Eid release also co-stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
