It is a terrible movie. No doubt about it. Ranveer hams and Arjun underacts. And was it me, or did the film had strong homoerotic elements...I mean, those shirtless scenes of Ranveer and Arjun were disturbing to say the least!😆
But I would like to think that this film was an exception and that both Ranveer and Arjun are certainly capable of better stuff. If a film is as bad as Gunday, no amount of good performance can salvage it, anyway.

When the trailer came out, everyone I know was like OMG it's so awesome. I thought it was meh. Thought i'll watch the film based on reviews from friends. Turns out, most of them thought it was average or forgettable.

Lost interest in this film from that day.

Guess its not that easy for actors to make a masala genre work like the general forum say? 😆

Come on! We're cringing over "homoerotic" shirtless scenes and find them disturbing?

Wonder how people would react if a Brokeback Mountain were to be made in Bollywood. Actually now I know why such movies are rarely attempted here. Sigh.

Brokeback Mountain was actually an excellent film...sensitive, under-stated and with substance!
The homoeroticism in Gunday was hilarious and cringe-worthy and most importantly unintentional...I am sure, the makers did not intend to show any sexual chemistry between Ranveer and Arjun!
There is absolutely nothing wrong in showing homosexual elements in a film...but how it is presented does make a lot of differene. And that stands true for an intimate scene between a man and a woman too...a love-making scene in Jism 2 did make me cringe, but the same scene in say, a Choker Bali or Parineeta was classic and beautifully executed.

Oh ok. Really curious as to how it was disturbing. I'll watch the movie and revert.

I thought Heropanti was much better than Gunday. Tiger acted well for his first film as well.
So far Queen was the best movie.

It wasn't so bad. It was just a loud movie. Like Ram Leela which was again a very loud movie. They dramatise the events according to the era in which it is set and it is off reality. And you know Ranveer is not a subtle actor, he is a loud actor and Its nice to watch something different.

I won't say it is the worst coz Hey, you must not have watched Yaariyan. Nothing beats that crap fest.🤬 Not even Jai Ho.🤣
