ok jab topic cher hi diya hai toh..i get extremely angry and befuddled personally when they say vidya introduced female centric films..rani did raja ki ayegi barat in 96..then mehendi..black..lcmd..tptm..dbh..dirty pic came in 2011..lol..plus rani can do all the roles vidya played but same cant be said abt vidya..parineeta was written keeping in mind rani..then things dint work out between her and vidhu vinod chopra..bhool bulaiya was rejected by rani..she cud have easily done a dirty pic and kahaani(being a bengali ,she wud have been a better choice i feel)

Not because she gave hundred crore movies, in fact she doesn't have a single hundred crore movie.

Every actor goes through a rough phase, I'm sure Vidya will come back with a bang.

Before TDP she wasn't 4th Khan, only after TDP / Kahaani success she was started being called as 4th Khan. Having such huge title, i guess after that none of her film worked, so how come she has the potential to carry a film on her own shoulder. I would have given her credit if Bobby Jasoos would have scored, coz it was on her shoulder, now her shoulder is no longer capable of carrying.

So just based on 2 films success, calling her so many things was putting her in lots of expectation game which she was never fit in.

but no seriously. Vidya is a brilliant actress. even if bobby jasoos doesnt do well,vidya still has a longtime left in the industry. she is the only actress who doesn't need a hero to make her films do well. Dirty picture and kahaani are what they are bcoz of her alone.

TDP was well hyped and promoted, Kahaani released shortly after tsp, hence it worked as ppl gave it a gud reviews n critics were all over her...other than these films, which film put her in spotlight?

I wud rather rate her performance in parineeta higher than tdp or even kahaani...

She needs promotion n effective marketing...on her own she can't, she ain't a Kajol for that matter.

But thats this forum's norm! 😆 I can find some comments the same ppl sympathizing with Vidya,posted about Bebo when GTPM bombed! 😆.Not to mention they still revel in the fact ,Kareena isnt number 1 anymore and try to bring her down by creating multiple topics about her acting,career choices,intelligence,marriage,attitude,family,figure,Saifu etc etc 😆

Vidya's movies might not earn 100 cr in the box office. But Iam a fan of her impressive acting and I will continue to watch her as long as she is acting in movies. Vidya and Priyanka are the real risk takers of bollywood which otherwise is a sexist and hypocritic world. People might claim that all Vidya did in dirty picture is sex. But who else is willing to gain oodles of fat and show them all off onscreen? Can we ever imagine a Katrina or Deepika taking such a risk with their body weight?They might be willing to try out hundreds of cosmetic surgeries to look more pretty. But a weight gain for a character? I doubt so.
