But Katrina has one of the all time best record at BO for an actress. She is tall, curvy, fair and can look both innocent and sexy. That's why people like her. She has huge fanbase. Everybody from kids to youth and older ones like her. The NRI/half foreign type roles helped her gain popularity and inability to speak Hindi properly was covered up. Her songs have been a rage. No denying her songs sometimes even saved films from being flops!
People have fascination for her just as they had in past about gori mem(s).
I've seen people finding it rather cute when she speaks desi language in broken accent. During Raajneeti promotion at Patna she addressed crowds in their local language and public went crazy! God knows how many times that clip was played on news channels!😲
Her high profile relationships got her publicity beyond films as well.
People come to just see her. Expression or no expression.
I do not deny her hard work. But Salman had great hand in getting her exposure, headstart in industry and some prestigious endorsements when she had stepped in Bollywood. At reality shows and other appearances she was arm candy of Salman. Onscreen her jodi with Akshay became popular.
I am not her fan. But have seen people expressing craze for her. I liked her only in Namaste London. Rest of her work is bleh.
