Mumbai: A friend of Preity Zinta, Parul Khanna on Tuesday recorded her statement with the Mumbai Police in the molestation case filed against Ness Wadia. Parul was spotted around when the incident happened.
According to sources, Parul has admitted seeing Ness Wadia misbehave with Zinta during the match at Wankhede stadium.
Other than Parul Khanna, Jai Kanojiya and Danish Merchant have also come out in support of actress Preity Zinta.
Danish Merchant, who is a neighbour of Preity Zinta had earlier told police "I went to her home the next day. There, she showed me a bruise on her elbow that she had got when Ness grabbed and pulled her. She said to me. Is this how you treat a girl?"
Jai Kanojiya was also interrogated by the police last week. Kanojia had told the police that he saw Ness grabbing Preity's arm, but he could not hear what they were talking.
Thus, it seems getting troublesome for Ness Wadia as 3 witnesses have turned in to support Preity Zinta.
Also, Shailesh Gupta who is a friend of Bollywood diva as well as a journalist is likely to record his statement with Mumbai Police on Wednesday.
However, the Chief Executive Officer of IPL team Kings XII Punjab Fraser Castellino has denied seeing any such incident happening in the stadium stands.
According to reports, Castellino claims that he was not present at his seat when the incident took place, so he is not aware of it. He said it did not happen in front of him.
Preity Zinta had filed an FIR against ex beau Ness Wadia, alleging him of molesting her at Wankhede stadium on 30 May.
Based on Zinta's written complaint, Marine Drive police had registered an FIR against Wadia under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
