Don't think so. There is this guy in twitter who is hardcore ranbir fan and we have big arguments all the time. But i have the same liking for Ranbir and his movies.
Similarly, as much as i dislike some fans of other actors like Sid here, i always wish him best because he is a struggler and they deserve to succeed.
So, opinions of fans don't affect me so easily.

Only fans can create hate. Seriously, what fun would bashing be if you couldn't get under someone's skin? The day fans stop caring, haters will find someone else to hate.

More than the star I dislike some of their rabid fans.

Those fan's who get personal with you are the most annoying because you criticize their favourite.

Sanaya Irani, Aishwariya Rai and Deepika P some of their fans go beyond.

Even some of SRK fans are no less.

I agree with trolling, vulgar language and personal attacks are annoying and can ruin a message board experience. But why should a star who does not know these people exist as his/her fans be associated with them to ruin the experience ? If you like or dislike someone shouldn't it be for them as in work or even their personal behavior ? I can't understand associating them with crazy behavior of people who like them to influence your likes and dislikes.

Of course an actor's work and persona decide likes and dislikes. But abusive and vulgar behaviour of fans does affect.

Stuff written or experienced online does come to mind.

Especially if a star does something foolish or trashy then one thinks even more - no wonder he or she has fans like this.

Bit of rudeness is still bearable. But there is that extremely vulgar abuse that is like nail in coffin. That just seals the deal.

I do 100% agree that online bullying and trolling do affect the experience. It is annoying and abusive and dangerous if you get scary PMs from people you don't know. Rudeness is not ok.

BUT I still don't get why associate the star with the behavior of the fans in the first place. It is the forum that is annoying and abusive, not the star. This person will most likely be annoying even if they were in a car forum or a cooking forum. So if they like gulab jamun and vehemently argue for it, think people who don't like it are stupid and call people names, are folks going to stop liking gulab jamun because of that.

Now if the star's behavior is bad and people decide not to like them, I get it. But don't we all want to be judged on our actions ? Why should a star be judged on the actions of their fans ? People they don't even know. It is not even their family member misbehaving after all.

Even in this forum there are some people who take it a bit too far, but the majority are nice. But we do not want to paint the entire forum as bad based on the actions of a few, right ? So how is fair to judge a star on the actions of crazy fans and decide that they are somehow responsible for their actions ?

Apologies if I come across as rude, but I just don't get the reasoning behind disliking a star for actions of fans.
