I feel the same way.

She managed to make a career in the south with just flowerpot roles... With Barfi I thought she would take a different direction in Bollywood but she decided to repeat her South career. It's disappointing.

I feel she is not getting right roles! She might be getting flowerpot, glamorous kinda roles...

Its difficult for an actress to get same kinda of roles, like on she essayed in Barfi. I am sure if she is offered another Sruti, she will grab the opportunity and do it.

She lacks screen presence. In MTH, where there is Nargis on screen with her, she's negligible! 😆

She said in an interview that she can't keep doing Barfi! like movies, she wants to do commercial stuff too. Also said Barfi! was a once in a very big while kind of offer, she doubts she would bget something like that again.

Okay... she might be new in BW but she has been acting since 8 years. 8 years is a long time for an actress to establish herself. After 8 years, an actress should be able to do roles she wants to do, more performance oriented roles.

There are other actresses in the South who are originally from the North who have been doing performance oriented roles despite the language barriers. Like Charmy.

If an actress has managed to stay strong in a film industry as long as Ileana has, and if she continues to do flowerpot roles, I'm inclined to believe that that's her choice. If she wanted better roles, she would have had them or will have them...
