Why do I-F members love Sonakshi and Lootera so much?

Fabulous script, movie and acting.. Not a Sonakshi fan though !

C grade? Aish was a rage in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Taal. But that's about it. She was also good in that film with Anil where she was raped.

I don't get this fascination of lootera and sonakshi sinha among IF members.
Like seriously what is so special about that film??
I watched it just once and i thought the movie was total crap.Plus the acting done by Sonakshi was nothing spectacular.Anyone could have done that.
Its her best perfomance agreed because she has just 4 scenes in all her movies except Lootera.
So Lootera according to me is nothing too good.

Atleast Aishwarya performs in her movies.She has had some major roles to her credits.Please watch movies like hddcs,devdas and chokher bali.If you can differentiate between actors and non-actors you will understand how sonakshi is the next katrina kaif or even worse.

Lootera was not special because of her..it was special because of the love story between Varun and Pakhi. Therefore it would be fair to say that she and Ranveer did an excellent job in creating that love story.

Though she was OTT in some portions, she was otherwise very good. Movie was very long..but if you sit and enjoy it, it is more beautiful.

P.S. Sonakshi is highly overrated in this forum. Only one film cannot prove her worth.It was Vikramaditya who brought out that trait hidden in her.A good actress is the one who can act in all her films (atleast most of them) . In all her other films she did nothing but dancing and blabbering something.

I don't think IF members love Sonakshi.
I have seen members praising her only during the release of Lootera.Otherwise she is seen as a flowerpot by people here.

it's not fair to compare an actress with 4 yrs of work with an actress with almost 20 years of work. note that.. let's see where sonakshi will be after 10 years

Dude.

1. Just because I like a person does not mean I am a fan. It means, I am a fan of Kajol, I wait for her rare movies, I would drive and have driven distances for her, begged people to drive me to see her movies even when I was not old enough to drive. I watch her old movies now because I'd rather see her on screen than anyone else current. I like Deepika, but I am not a fan, I do not go for all her movies and drive for her, forget it. I like Sona but even less. So drive for her, so not happening.

2. BUT I still think Lootera and Sona are something special and she has talent. Now one film is not always a measure of talent, but in rare cases like Lootera it is a film and performance that stands out and shows you the potential clearly. That is assuming you are willing to be open minded. Another example, Highway. I thought Alia was terrible in SOTY, she made me do a complete 180 in Highway and I will always say she is talented because of that.. She and Sonakshi may choose and in case of Sonakshi have chosen crappy films, but because of treasure buried in trash you cannot discount them just because they are lazy to not live up to their potential. Oh hell, I would throw my favorite actress into the mix. Kajol's career could have been better, more versatile if she had wanted to. But is she talented ? For me, hell yeah because even in crappy films she impressed me.

3. If you are not open minded or if you are deliberately closing yourself off you will never see it even in masala movies. I did that with Jackie. Absolutely said on this very board the woman can't dance and is beyond terrible in Race 2. I still stand by she was terrible in Race 2 but when I saw her doing splits in the 3 minute Kick trailer, oh hell the woman can dance. So sometimes, people may suck because the films suck and they were stuck doing that and may not have been given an opportunity to show what they are capable of. PC in Barfi, I was absolutely sure she could not pull it off. Came out sobbing because she was so beautiful in it. Try to be open minded, people may just surprise you.

In Sona's case she is taking the easy way out and doing crappy films. But she stood out even in Dabaang her very first film and in Lootera she was absolutely divine. You don't have to be a fan to enjoy someone's work.
