Salman Khan has started taking a keen interest in movie production ever since his Chillar Party did well. The superstar is also producing the Hero remake starring Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. Now, Salman is also thinking of co-producing Aanand L Rai's next that will also star him.
The Raanjhanaa fame director is planning his next which he will make post the Tanu Weds Manu sequel. The movie is again going to be a lovestory set in a small town, and if the latest reports are to be believed then Salman Khan will play a dwarf in it.
In Aanand's words, "I have a story that's waiting to be told. The setting maybe a small city but the story is big. It's a massive project and I want everything to fall into place."
The director and actor have had a couple of meetings and apparently Salman Khan is quite kicked about the idea. If he indeed plays a dwarf in the movie then it would be very challenging for him as no Bollywood actor has ever played such a character, let alone a handsome hulk like Salman. The only exception to this is the maverick south star Kamal Haasan, who was seen as a dwarf clown in the movie Appu Raja (1990).
For the movie, Aanand has already roped in VFX expert George Murphy who has earlier worked on movies like Matrix Reloaded, Jurassic Park and Forrest Gump.
Will the fans of Salman Khan, who love his dabanggiri, accept him as a dwarf? Sound off in the comments below.
